We don't know who has and who hasn't wanted to come here. We also don't know which players that may have wanted to come here were discouraged because they did not fit the system.

It is true that a coach may need to adjust the system to fit the players but in the case of certain players that were highly regarded in FA, such as Andrew Norwell, it was clear they were not a good fit to a system that is already about 75% filled.

You need the pump the brakes on the negativity about Lynch not signing more players.

You have no idea how these moves will play out.

All those guys are great talents but until we actually see them play together and see the results hyping up Snead right now is a moot point. We've seen teams bring in big money and big talent free agents before and they didn't win squat.

Last year's free agent signings weren't exactly super exciting and yet they all produced and should be key pieces for the 49ers this year.

Rams are going all in because they actually made the playoffs last year. We finished 5-0 and things look great but we're not at a point where you take caution to the wind and throw a chitload of money at free agents and trade away draft picks to bring in guys who may affect team chemistry and not in a good way.

One of the reasons we finished as strong as we did was because team chemistry was great. Everyone was playing well together. Adding guys who are more about themselves than the team isn't a great fit regardless of talent.

Yeah but at times logic should be inserted too. How likely is it that the team with the fewest committed dollars says nah i'm good and lets their guys like donald gurley and goff just walk? I know ur a niner fan who has watched baalke hoard cap space and lynch not exactly burn through his but i'm hoping you're smart enough to read between the lines on this one.

A-Rob for one.

I would've taken a chance on Sam Shields at CB.

I would easily take Jordan Matthews or Decker on this team as a red zone threat. Our receiving corps look weak

Jimmy Graham would've been a nice red zone target for us

Sheldon Richardson would've been nice

There are a few others who would've been nice to have on a team with a lot of holes.

Lynch has to hit a home run in the draft for immediate impact players, no projects.

A-Rob is the only one on here I can agree with however I'm going to trust Kyle Shanahan on this one. If he felt strongly about what Robinson could do in this scheme there's no question he would be a 49er right now. We've clearly shown that if Kyle wants someone and thinks they're a great fit for his offense - we get them regardless of how it looks to other people in terms of cost.

We did that with Juice. We did that with McKinnon. We did that with Richburg. So when it comes to offense i'm giving Lynch a pass because he's getting the guys Kyle wants and I'm not going to pretend I know what works on this team better than the guy running the scheme.

Yea I think it's not landing A-Rob that bugged me. Mostly because we don't have a redzone threat.

You can say what you want about Kyle, but he didn't have a redzone threat in this receiving corps last year. Their redzone offense was awful. I don't think this is a "scheme" issue more than it is either Lynch not reaching out to A-Rob's camp or Paraag's contracts being an issue. I don't think it is realistic that A-Ron turned down the Niners if they provided an offer of equal value.

Everyone keeps talking about Kyle's "scheme", a scheme that yielded 0 wins until we got Garoppolo. I'm fine with that, since we were winning with Garoppolo, but we still need a redzone threat. Period.

That doesn't even touch the issues we have on defense, but I'm hoping the draft can provide an immediate return on investment. We can't afford anymore "projects".

Of course, this is all under the assumption Lynch and Shanahan want to win now or in the next couple of years.
