And yes I think Quinn is a better player and option than Enzekiel and it's not even that close IMO

If he gets released, he won't sign with the 49ers. There's going to be hella teams bidding for his services. However, I do feel like if they trade for him, even a messily 7th pick in the 2021 draft, it can possibly save the Rams a lot of money and it guarantees the 49ers that Quinn lands with them. But I do not know if the Rams would trade with a division rival.

Only if the compensation is worth it to them. They don't have a 2nd round pick so who knows.

oh hell no. I mean, I would THINK that by unloading a player for cap purposes is more important than letting a player go and suffer cap consequences. Now, I am not familiar with trading players and the consequences on the salary cap, but if the rams can "cut/trade" quinn without taking any penalty, then they shouldn't be in a position to worry about what kind of compensation that they'll receive. I heard that there are some major free agents that they want to re-sign this year and moving Quinn could be a positive outcome for them.

Interesting point. Watch the Patriots trade a future 5th round pick and get Quinn. They certainly have the cap space for him as of now.

I'm confused why he wouldn't sign with us...not like we don't have cap space and have an up and coming team and gives him a chance to stick it to the Rams.

If Quinn gets let go then we need to make a strong push for him. Number 1 target easy.

Quinn was my favorite prospect in 2011. I think he'd be an awesome get and I think he still has a good amount left in the tank. Hope the Rams let him go and we capitalize on it.

Very well could happen. Rams have to break the bank to sign Aaron Donald, so someone's got to go between Quinn, T. Johnson, Lamarcus Joyner and Nickell Robert-Coleman on the defensive side of the ball. Would love to see him in Red and Gold.

Starting to look more and more like the Rams will let him go. Man oh man he is exactly what we need at the LEO position. We're obviously not the only team though that could use him and would want him.
He's the one guy I would shell out the dough for though. Not long term but 3yrs $22mill... I would be all in
