It's not about whether to get vaccinated or not. The league has stated that any team that's forced to cancel a game will forfeit that game. Whyput the team and the season in jeopardy.

The question is are the vaccines designed to prevent reception or transmission of disease and/or do they attenuate the severity of symptoms?

If we are talking about attenuating severity of symptoms then that lends more to being about player choice on an individual level. If we are talking about attenuating disease transmission symptoms hen that lends more towards protecting not only yourself but others collectively

I know that masks and sanitizing areas help as well as social distancing when it comes to disease transmission but these vaccines seem to be to attenuating symptoms once contracting the disease more so than decreasing disease transmission

All of the above. Reduce transmission, reduce the likelihood of a severe infection and help improve recovery time if infected.

Anyways, while I do think that Cam's decision to not get vaccinated played at least a part in him not staying in NE, any sort of discussion about vaccines themselves should be taken to the threads we specifically have for that that topic in the Parking Lot.
