Interesting...

Yup. Subconscious racism is alive and well. Aaron Rodgers is known to be a complete d******d outside of the game, no one says sh*t about it.

Can you imagine what Cam's career could've been if the league decided to ref him the same way they ref other QBs?

While I somewhat agree, Idk if Rivers or Rodgers are the right comparisons. Rivers plays like a bad ass, just like Cam, they both play hard and s**t talk. But Rivers doesn't act like such a baby after loses. That's always been my only issue with Cam. Other than that he's a great talent.

As far as the refs not protecting him, that's pretty fair to say at times, but he's never shied away from that physicality and you always see him lowering the shoulder as well. A lot of it is his own doing as well.

I agree with this....

nvm, i change my whole opinion

Lol actually a very fair and unbiased retort..

That is absolute nonsense. Everyone says how Rivers and Rodgers are jerks off the field that's how you and I know about it. Cam gets treated differently by the refs because he is a completely different player than Rodgers and Rivers. They are pocket passers, while Cam was most dangerous when he was running or throwing while on the run.
Cam has had 2 top 5 QB seasons during his career and he won the MVP for one. Unfortunately, he hasn't been healthy or all that good in a long time

Scam Newton should get the Patriots to 8-8

Patriots and Bellichek know how to work the system better than anybody. Suppose Newton tears it up and does well, they let him walk and they pick up a 3rd or 4th round compensatory pick for him. Suppose he simply backs up, he makes little on incentive based deal and the Pats get a 5th or 6th round compensatory pick...

Bill is the Jedi Master of the NFL. No GM it is all him

We'll see if Bill is the real Jedi master?? I wanna see how he survives without Brady first.
I remember the playoff game against the 49er and I was more impressed with Cam than CK. I hope he resurrects his career and has a great year. His desire to win is without question.
this will be good for him and the pats. it will be interesting see how it plays out.
It will play out.... Cam is cut

You mean like how he went 11-5 the year Brady got hurt?

or when he went 3-1 when Brady was suspended for 4 games for cheating?

People in Boston really going to become full time Buccaneers fans now
Well what cam will have in NE that he hasn't had in Carolina for a while, is a top defense. I think the discipline and environment in NE will be good for him.

Btw I'm someone that has thought he was overrated, incredible athlete, but was never sold on his QB skills overall. This may be the place he puts it together and finds the management and discipline that can benefit a player of his style. I'm actually excited for him and hope he crushes it
Great decision by Cam. He'll have a good shot at starting and McDaniels and Belichick will get the most out of him.

I forgot but did they make the playoffs and winning anything no?

That's mediocre AF, they were far from Brady-like Pats as they could be.

This seemed pretty much like a no brainer. Surprised it didn't happen sooner but with the whole pandemic thing probably didn't really matter that much anyways. He could be starting opposite us come week 6 (whenever that happens). Oh sorry, I meant week seven.
