By the same token why do so many fans totally ignore the fact he has just as extensive list of injuries over his career as any skill player on this team, if not more so? Plus he isn't even 10 months removed from a torn ACL. Not to mention that's not even the first one. But people get blinded by "it's OBJ" while ignoring his chances of staying healthy are no better than every other guy if not worse.

That could be b/c last seen on the field nobody could cover him

Did you say... nobody?

Sure couldn't cover him in the game that matters most tho. That top pick was his 1st game as a Ram with like 2 practices and Stafford throwing his typical f**k it he's out there somewhere pass

OBJ was also looking unstoppable in the Super Bowl prior to his injury. Who knows how different that game could of been if he stayed healthy full time.

Exactly, people wanna say we don't need him, he's washed, he's a diva cancer would be calling for John and Kyles head saying why didn't they sign him when he's in Dallas or some team we can possibly play and he's making plays. Dudes gonna be a problem later on in the season and I would no doubt take him over Jennings and McCloud. We have the luxury of even when he's cleared to ease him in and take advantage of a 3rd cb and teams being more worried of CMC, Deebo, Kittle and Aiyuk
I would definitely sign him if he's willing to play here. Go all out for the SB. You will need depth and weapons for the postseason push.
I think we have plenty enough weapons right now. I don't even know how often he would get the ball. Lack of weapons is not our problem anymore. I wish we had better DT's. Like Buckner who we lost. We also could use more DB's. The injuries hit CB this year unfortunately. I think we are fine on weapons. How many weapons can you even get the ball to?

You can never have enough weapons.

This, I find it crazy how people don't wanna just continue to add talent and attack teams in waves and forcing them to pick their poison. It's one thing if the player isn't interested in playing for your team and it's another when he is, you gotta try and add the talent. With this teams injury history I'll be damned if at 1 point we're forced to have Jennings and McCloud on the field for a bunch of plays

This. Never such a thing as too many weapons. If OBJ is a realistic possibility then it'd be negligence to not pursue him.

I got this stupid feeling that he's gonna choose KC. Frickin hate KC.
An older player who is injured a lot. He'd be on the field for 2 - 3 games max before getting hurt. You are over rating him at this point in his career. He bounces all around from team to team and mostly gets hurt. Aiyuk is probably better than him at this point if he can clean up a few things and be more consistent. We don't need OBJ.

Why would this be stupid? Who would you rather have throwing you the ball? Mahomes or Garoppolo? This is a no brainer. I doubt we sign him unless we throw a lot of money his way.
OBJ should be a Niner by midweek

I didn't say it would be stupid, I said I have this stupid feeling. See the difference??

I think that if OBJ WANTS to choose us for a limited role then it makes sense. JJ has been so clutch on third downs OBJ would be an insurance policy at this point. I'm not sure I would like OBJ upending the chemistry of the locker room by getting preferential treatment. If he wants to be our insurance policy in case a WR goes down or line up on a handful of plays then I'm all for it but our group is pretty tight already.

if OBJ was smart he'd go somewhere that he's not expected to carry a huge snap count. Would suck if he injured himself at the end of the season again.

I'm expecting he'll go the Bills or Chiefs. More targets over there.

Agreed unless he really wants to play with this team our chances are very low.
