Moncreif or Watkins are better than any options we would look at in this draft IMO, i would be fine with either, as they are both 24 and have flashed under the right circumstances.

I'm high on Garcon, Goodwin, Taylor, Bourne and Kittle.

Watkins - 8 TD > Garcon, Goodwin, Taylor, Bourne, Kittle - 6 combined TD

Torrey Smith had 11 TDs in Baltimore one yr that signing worked wonders lol

I'd also expect those TD numbers to go up with JG as the starter all yr, plus Garçon playing the full season

With a broken Colin Kapernick as his QB and Geep Chryst as his OC. Not saying I am a big Torrey Smith fan but he had almost no chance to succeed here. Watkins is a much better all-around WR than Torrey Smith

No I get that, but my issue is just throwing up his TD number as why he's worth what he will get paid. IMO he's not. I'm not comparing the two, I'm comparing the TD number.

Like I said I'd expect TD numbers all-around to go up with JG as the starter the full yr...much rather add WR help through the draft.

Avg out his 4 years career and it's 6.25 a year. The 8 wasn't even his career season high.

They can spend in smart places. It looks like there will be good options for guard (Sitton or Levitre, I don't believe Norwell is gonna happen here), CB, WR depth (Gabriel replacing Robinson), and depth/stand-ins at ILB. Some smart money could be spent plugging those holes and extending some guys during the season (Goodwin, Tartt, Ward-if healthy and starting at CB, Brown-if healthy and more consistent as a run blocker) and after the season (Buckner and Garnett-if he's starting and performing well).

I'd be very HAppy with these moves that you just suggested.
That would be upgrades at 3-4 positions and would allow a lot of flexibility in the draft

Is 6.25 good? Like I said I'd expect the current WR on our roster to have more TDs with JG there all yr.

If they want to bring him in on a one yr prove-it deal sure...I'm guessing he gets a multi yr deal elsewhere.

I think the argument would be he's scored 25 TDs in 52 games, while playing hurt most of the time. Some times it was extremely obvious he was hurt and just on the field limping around as a decoy . He also has had some bad qb play In buffalo between Orton, Taylor and Manuel.

People who want him likely just want him for the big time potential he has. He's just been held back terribly by injuries, and that hardly ever just disappears.

Bell had 1,946 total yards and 11 Tds and that's Brown/JuJu/Bryant getting the ball.

Watkins had 593 yards and 8 TDs (Bell had more receiving yards then him lol)

Honestly I'd hate to pay a RB that much, but hot damn the NFC West would be lights out at RB

injuries are part of the reason I wouldn't want to pay him...if you can't get on the field who cares about upside
