Free Agency Rumors/Pending Signings

The Niners NEED to come away with a 1st for Kap, either this year or next.

IMO the Broncos end-of-round 2nd or 3rd picks are not very attractive. The Niners hold all the cards here.

Well that makes me feel better. Someone did bring up a good point earlier in these posts. When we start to truly compete, he'll be on the wrong side of 30. I guess my epiphany for wanting a big name got in the way of being smart about it. He'll be 32 when he enters the 4th year of that deal.

I'm not trying to justify not signing him either.. just really didn't consider his age. I was enamored by the long limbs and his shutdown ability. Speed goes first.

yes. doing things cuz its what the raiders are doing is the real world. i am so happy for you that you believe the raiders can whip the niners. i guess it helps you get through the day. course when we lost to them in 2014 your boy was the head coach then but thats beside the point. its one thing to get a bunch of high priced free agents, its another to see how they all play together and mesh. I am sure the paranoid people who are so worried about what oakland is doing will stay up to date on that., i have better things to do like order two new niner shirts for me and one for my daughter for the upcoming season. I know that runs contrary to what we are supposed to do in not buying merchandise in order to show the front office.. something.. but so be it

He didn't fail to develop Kap, Kap played fine under Harbaugh.

Initially yes. But he obviously did not develop He got worse. The Oline play also got worse and Harbaugh's garbage system didn't help either but Harbaugh did not develop Kap. He played off of pure athleticism and raw talent in 2012 and then Harbaugh tried to make him something he isn't and we see what we got...

Mike Silver on NFLN: Kaepernick is on the verge of being traded. Another team is involved. Elway views Kap as option A. Niners have the luxury of taking their time, but Broncos need to move quickly. That will drive the price up. Kap will re-do his deal for new team.

that is why, when you are rebuilding a team, you never give high buck or five years to people close to or on the wrong side of 30 ( gore). that is just the way this team is right now

Silver knows how to keep 49ers fans on their toes lol, first Hue now this trade.

Don't see anyway that they come out with a 1st rounder. Denver's 2nd and a conditional 3rd or 4th next year would probably be as good as it gets I think. The 49ers are in a good position but if their demands are too high, I can see Denver rolling with RG3, a draft pick and some other vet QB.

Only thing that scares me about trading Kap is RG3 being signed.......hell no to RG3, much rather keep Kap!!!!

Get Geoff, Prince, some D lineman, and Ronnie Hilman. Why don't they want Hillman? Perfect complement back in the offense
