Free Agency Rumors/Pending Signings

It is definitely a crap shoot. For every Justin Smith, there are a bunch of busts (see: Nate Clements, Gabe Wilkins, Jonas Jennings, Antonio Langham, etc.).

Hey bro. No more sports Misc for ya and Phoenix? I miss you guys(no homo)

Clements wasn't really a bust but in the end definitely wasn't worth his contract.

Former #Cowboys RB Lance Dunbar to visit #49ers, source said.

I'm convinced he wants to roll all this money into next year.

This team man.....

"49ers to host free-agent RB Lance Dunbar for visit, according to ESPN; suffered torn ACL, MCL in October"

We trade Kap yet?

go niners

We're sitting pretty with Kap man. After Osweiler signed with Houston Kap became the best "available" QB on the market. My guess is we're talking to a handful of teams about him and are trying to get someone to come up off a high draft pick or two.

I'd be surprised if he isn't traded before the weekend.

Baalke= Joe Thomas 2.0 but Baalke is actually worse.

Lance Dunbar is a reaaaaallllyyyy good receiving back.

LOL. How gangster would it be to roll into FA next year with like $100+ mil to spend.
This is getting too comical now

uh the 49ers need an OLINE and a Pass rusher. And Dunbar has a torn ACL/MCL

This is the weakest FA crop in years, and teams are still overpaying these awful FAs top dollar. We are smart to be avoiding this train wreck and saving cap room for the future when we finally need to be able to sign that missing piece to put us over the top. How are people not getting this lol.

I think people aren't getting the fact the niners could of paid reasonable deals to
Brooks 8 mil
Irvin 10 mil (somewhat reasonable)
And a few other contracts that were good today. Danny T probably wanted to go with fox so I won't use that as an example.

You're assuming those guys wanted to come here. What we are willing to pay someone is irrelevant if other teams are paying the same/similar and they want to go there and not here.

You could hold him until closer to the draft if it makes a team sweat and up an offer. Riskier though

What's up, genus. Good to hear from you. I lurk over there on occasion, but spend more time here, despite the deep, deep levels of hell this place has descended into.

True on Clements. Not an outright bust and certainly wasn't helped by the lack of talent around him, but seems like a bust since we gave him an 8 year, $80 M deal. Haha. Nate Clements was the highest paid defender in the history of the NFL for a while there.
