That's the way to go. Aside from a few deals where production matches contract value, the money being thrown around in FA right now is crazy stupid.

I don't think anyone here is expecting to compete for a title this next season. Also, I don't think anyone perceives the FA crop this season to be all that strong. Wouldn't it make sense to 1) play and develop young players/new draft pick 2) Use FA to supplement the team in a future year with a stronger FA crop when we already have a solid core intact?

My apologies to anyone I may have offended with my rational, non-emotional thoughts at this trying time.

I know he played well after converting to LB, but that's way too much.

Yep. I wish they had brought in Brooks though. Would have been agood fit at a comparably sane price.
