In the CBSSports.com rankings, Shields is considered the sixth-best free agent cornerback available this offseason (and No. 33 overall). You can be sure the cornerbacks ahead of him on the list are excited about the Shields news.

Last year, CBs languished on the market in $5M-$6M range. This year, Shields got $9.75M/year, Grimes got $8M per, and it's not even 3/11 yet

GB pulled an Al Davis, overspent and messed up the salary structure for FA. How GB got an A- grade from SI.com for that signing is beyond me because they turn around and say he probably wouldn't have got that from another team.
