I'm sure if a person is sincerely wanting to turn their life around and quit drinking etc they'll do so but not immediately or during a season. Even if it's just for show and to minimize suspension time once in rehab, away from their normal routine and forced to face themselves, things can sincerely change for people. Lives can be saved. Not only the players but innocent lives. Goodell is an idiot. A complete and utter backwards thinking fool.
I don't agree. If a player needs rehab he needs rehab. Aldon didn't check into rehab to get a lesser sentence. Clearly Goodell didn't factor it in which in that case I understand your point. I just don't think it matters when it comes to your life.

2 DUIs(one of them felony hit and run where he ran over a woman at 3am)
2 Different sets of gun charges in 2 different states
Was recently accused of destruction of property
Suspended 3 games
Smith:
2 DUIs
3 misdemeanor gun charges, bought legally in AZ; Legal in CA, with a small modification.
Missing 14 games(including 5 voluntarily)
How the F does a 9 game suspension make sense?

Yeah Lynch is a multiple offender right? He better game a season ban.
If lynch was a niner yeah we would be suspended the whole year...... but he's a shecock so they'll let it slide.

This is so f**ked up. You'd think he actually killed people with those weapons. All he did was HAVE them. Now I know you got the DUI too but there's tons of precedents of DUIs without being suspended 9 goddamn games. And it's not like these were nuclear weapons that could destroy planet earth that are only allowed in 3rd world countries or some s**t. He got them and they're legal in ARIZONA, a state that freakin TOUCHES california. So f**king pissed.

I hope Goodell gets booed mercilessly at the home debut. What an impotent tool.

Then again, if he gets caught smoking pot he would get suspended for a year.

I doubt Lynch gets suspended at all. Haven't even heard anything about the last few weeks.
