Huh???? Colston has had 3 major knee injuries and had microfracture procedures in both legs. Colston has the worst injury concerns of any free agent WR on the market.

This is the same procedure that Greg Oden has underwent repeatedly, Colston's knees basically are on a ticking clock and there's no telling when they finally give out.

yet he has only missed 10 games in his entire career

When you've had 2 major procedures like that, it's a huge red flag.

What do DeShaun Foster, Jeremy Newberry, Patrick Jeffers all have in common?

Their careers were shortly DOA after microfracture surgery, within 2-3 seasons. Its not an injury that you just magically bounce back from, overall guys with microfracture see their career longevity decrease tremendously.

He just had a season where he was more productive than any of those guys after MFX though. Like I said, you don't know the size of the chondral defect, the location(whether it was weight bearing), etc. My guess is he'll be fine for a few more years because he came back better than any of those guys and played basically a whole season without knee problems.

He'll turn 30 the week after the season ends, had it backwards with Colston will turn 29 in 3 months. Jackson's physicality is the only reason I would want him at this point.

lol for real? So you wouldn't want a 6'5'' WR who can jump real high and runs good routes and has good hands? WRs are effective after 30 all the time. TO, Steve Smith, Jerry, Chris Carter, Plaxico, etc. VJax is a beast he will be fine for the next 4 years.
For the right price i would love him but not for the money that other teams will pay him. It seems like he gives up in certain games...but there is no denying that amazing athletic ability that he possesses

Colston runs a 4.7. And has Drew Brees ball placement throwing to him. He'd be ineffective on our team. Vincent Jackson is actually fast.
Vincent Jackson is my Preference(Bowe isn't hitting the market) he's tall and fast he and Vernon( hopefully also Fleener) would cause so many mismatches on offense it's ridiculous. I think he's one of those receivers the niners will throw good money at I wouldn't mind if they did either.

No he doesn't, Colston runs a 4.55 dude. Both of them are hella good. We will be lucky to land either of them.

Marques Colston has had two microfracture knee surgeries and has had ankle problems and a broken collarbone. Colston would be a great red zone target for us but him and Crabtree would struggle getting seperation and I think would not be a good WR duo. VJax is a great red zone target and is also a big play guy.

What injuries? He has only missed one game due to injury in the last 6 years. He missed 11 games in 2010 but that was because of a holdout.

Yep. That is why I would not touch Colston. Get him out of the Saints offense w/o Brees and the surrounding cast and I think he is a good #2 WR. But he is going to command #1 WR money and he is not worth it.

I would seriously consider paying top dollar to Vincent Jackson and Dwayne Bowe. If we can't get either of them, I would go after Robert Meachem. Either way, I think we almost certainly draft a WR in the 1st rd or move down a few slots and take a WR early in the 2nd. Good draft for a big, talented WR's.
The W.R is 6-5 tall and fast he will be a great target in the RZ and on 3rd down I lovee the idea of going for Vincent Jackson
Like i said before, Colston doesn't see double teams nearly as often as Jackson. When you look at the Saints they have receiving threats everywhere. The defense can't focus on just one. Outside of Jackson the best receiving threat in San Diego is Gates. Jackson still gets open with double teams and has produced more than Colston.
