28 TDs in three years. If the niners draft a WR and sign him then I'll risk the injuries. This team was too close to the SB to not risk a little.

Marques Colston had 24 TDs in 3 years, is a year younger and doesnt have the injury concerns like Jackson, If we are gonna go after a WR id rather go after Colston

I do think he would be a good fit too. I just don't think the Saints are letting him walk. I will say that I think Colston is more of a product of his offense than Jackson. The Chargers have other weapons but nothing near the Saints. Colston isn't seeing double coverage as much as Jackson because the Saints have too many other weapons. Jackson is almost always double covered and still produces more.

Which is why Vincent Jackson makes sense.

I dont want any of the big name WRs unless their younger and still have room to grow. VJAX will hit 30 at the beginning of the season, not exactly the guy I want to sign to a 6 year 60M contract.

Huh???? Colston has had 3 major knee injuries and had microfracture procedures in both legs. Colston has the worst injury concerns of any free agent WR on the market.

This is the same procedure that Greg Oden has underwent repeatedly, Colston's knees basically are on a ticking clock and there's no telling when they finally give out.

you could've said the same thing about Jason Kidd and Amare Stoudemire. Typically if a guy has microfracture and makes a good recovery he'll last a while. If not then you'll know it pretty quickly. You don't know the size and location of the chondral defect in the knee. My guess is if he's playing like he's healthy right now, he's got atleast 2-3 good seasons left in him and that might put us over the top to win #6 and possibly #7.

Neither was the same after microfracture surgery, especially Stoudemire who lost a lot of explosiveness and elevation, he wasn't close to being the same high-flyer that he was prior to the surgery. When there's much healthier options out there, guys who didn't rely on Drew Brees, why bother with a potential headache, if the guy has more knee troubles in the next year or two, now you're handcuffed by an expensive-ass contract that limits your ability to make moves.

Oh and VJax will be 29 next season. He's 6'5'' and real athletic, I don't think he'll decline too much in his early 30s. IMO we'd be lucky to get either VJax or Colston.
