did you guys see this? Interview Harbaugh had today
Jacksonville QB David Garrard was released, I'm not going to ask you specifically, but is that the kind of quarterback you're going to be taking a look at throughout the season?
"I knew you'd probably ask me that. As it relates to any position that comes across the wire, and we do a great job [GM] Trent [Baalke] does a great job, [Director of Player Personnel] Tom Gamble does a great job of bringing that to my attention. We talk about things, we look at guys and that's an everyday type of thing."
Are you guys interested in him?
"I'm not going to comment on that. We're interested in one thing and that's what makes our football team better. That's a blanket statement on how we approach any move that could help our football team or better our football team. Is it good for our football team? There's really only one priority when it comes to that - what's best for the team."

my mom has it as well...what does that have to do with him playing football? Its very treatable these days, as long as you stay on top of it.

I don't want him, I would rather stick with the three we have already.

Why? I dont get it. Can anyone answer this? Why? Why would you not want David Garrard on our team?
Even if you are somehow content with Alex Smith as our starting quarterback, why on earth would you not want him as a backup? What could possibly be the downside to doing this? Because he would be new to the system? Who cares if he doesnt know the system yet. He will learn it. Give him a month. He will be up to speed.
I couldnt possibly fathom as to why people wouldnt want this guy on our team, regardless of what string you think he would be.

He's worse than Alex at this point. People are remembering years ago when they think of him as somewhat average or reasonably good. And Tolzien is our #2 when he learns the playbook.

I want him if we can fit him in. It will be tough to carry 4 QB's but I want as many eggs in as many baskets as we can carry. If we want to treat Keap properly he needs to stay off the damn field for at least a year and Tolzien is in the same boat. Gerrard may be a little worse than Smith...he may be a little better...those things are arguable. What is not is that he is VASTLY better than anyone else out on the street who we could bring in as Smith's backup.

He polarized the locker room. Players didn't even vote him captain. theres a reason why the jaguars cut him.

Didn't want to pay him.. money move he was due like 8 mill
Anyways he's 33 but he can play another year we know what Alex can do and that's nothing I'd rather watch Garrard play than Alex
