Why did the Niners not tender an offer to A. Franklin? Are they unhappy with his play? Is his price tag too high? Do they think they can resign him at a lower price? Is RJF ready? What is happening here?

Well yeah, agreed... but point is, our DL depth is a bit thin. Really surprised that we did nothing in the draft to remedy that.

I bet Franklin stays. He did not do well enough to warrant a huge contract from anyone.

Jason Lockyourmamma just said on NFL total access he thinks Franklin will get big cheddar in FA. He thinks Redskins will be a good landing spot if Hanyesworth doesn't stick.

I wouldn't hate a Smith-Ice-Mcdonald line. Of course that basically leaves RJF as the only legit backup. I would expect them to add depth cheaply rather than get into a bidding war over Franklin.

This is going to be our biggest challenge right here imo. We can't compete with the other teams or what? He'll be in demand but I think we would be the frontrunners if we showed interest in resigning him. He has a chance to be a big part of a special defense. Aver que pedo.
