Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis' release is imminent -- likely tomorrow, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. "I know I got good football left in me," Portis told reporters on Wednesday. "I think being fresh, having been really in the last two years not having a lot of contact, I think the two injuries -- going out with a concussion, and then the torn groin -- was really fluke injuries. I don't think that's a wear and tear, like, 'Oh his body broke down.' I think I'd still rather have Gore/Bush/Clinton over Gore/Clinton/Willis. Bush is the most explosive of them all, even with the injury. It's a moot point anyways. I doubt we sign any one of them and no way in hell we sign two of them.

We probably wont add a RB from anything other than the draft until we can get Franky to sign an extension

I think McGahee would be a legit option. He's a powerful, reliable guy that seems perfect in Harbaugh's run heavy offense. With Dixon and Gore, I doubt we'd spend the money though.

I would rather get the fullback Harbaugh had last year at Stanford. He would be familiar with the system and young. Maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder?

I hope we sign Le'Ron McClain. We'd get our stud FB, power back, and a very capable backup. All for a good price too.

The "U" backfield would be a dream.....also trade down in first round to pick brandon harris with that extra second pick Lenard hankerson....Its ALL ABOUT THE "U"
