I'm a big believer in Crabtree. So I beleive that the #1 spot is good, but the # 2 spot is a weakness with morgan there. So after taking into consideration of the CBA, and the fact that Jim seems to like Smith. Why wouldnt the 49ers take into consideration Plaxico!! New 9ers, chip on both our and plax's shoulder. He would be better than signing Morgan to an extension. He will want a deal like Vick's cheap first year team option on 2nd for a little more cash, but nothing crazy. To get a tall physical #1 to play the #2 spot in the WCO to help Alex if he misses a pass he can grab it. Eli isnt accuracte but Plax made wonders happen for him. Opinions???

It seems alot of us have forgotten about Ziegler and Williams. I'd like to see what these guys can do when they're actually given a chance to play. Williams and Ziegler are NOT the big target that Plax is, but they haven't been out of football for a couple seasons either.

Sing's regime has really done a number on this team. We have several players on offense that are fairly unknown.

With Morgan's long strides they have had him running many vertical routes the last couple of years, but as he has shown a few times this last season he can really develop into being a very good YAC receiver which will help him out in the WCO we are installing.

Morgan is one of the better blocking Wide Receivers in the league and with Crabtree and Davis being the top targets, he just gets what little play he can. I don't see a reason in changing him out.

Don't forget about the young WR coaches! Finally guys who could actually run the drills they teach. Plaxico is a realistic stopgap, sign him to a 1 year deal with a team option for a 2nd year, just like Vick. If we don't like him we can dump him. It would give us more time to develop Williams as well.
