If Harbaugh wanted a Josh Johnson type

What's erratic about it? I like Josh Johnson not Dennis Dixon. Just because they're both athletic QBs doesn't mean one is as good as the other.

I read it a little slower and it makes more sense now. The ! after 70 threw me off. I am all for flat out comparisons but you have to admit that in this situation that comparing numbers don't completely reflect well on the talent pool that each player was in.

Not too mention I don't want to make it look like a Hawaii vs. Oklahoma contest but just because he throws up huge numbers doesn't make him a better player than Dixon. Division 1AA Pioneer league vs D1 PAC10 is like Apples and Oranges. I reference Colt Brennan vs. Matt Ryan comparisons, it just doesn't work statically or competition wise.

You can compare them individually which is what I am trying to do but the fact that Johnson was only sacked 5 times in 3 years, all of them coming in his senior season after Harbaugh left really speaks volumes of not only his talent and Harbaugh's coaching but just as much on how bad the competition is in that league.

Put USD against Oregon and it wouldn't be close. They run immensely different styles of football and Dixon was not asked to carry his team unlike Johnson. Dixon is a cheaper, easier to to acquire version of Dennis Dixon who could be utilized in the same way that Johnson was under Harbaugh.
