i may have missed some, but thats my camp roster.

We better not let Manny just walk. All I have been hearing for the past two or three years during FA is that the niners will play it conservatively since they want to resign their own players. Well? The team brass better not sit on their hands during FA and only resign Willis and VD. Not only are other teams resigning their own players, but they are picking up big FAs as well (see Jets, Bears, and so forth).

agreed we better sign Lawson and Baas, Baas and Franklin are the most important FAs the 9ers have IMO.

The OL is big, young and can move, Baas is a big part of that and really grew into the starting C position IMO. Pair him with Staley/Iupati and Davis (who played well the last 6-8 games) our OL just needs a RG

Lawson is a perfect non passrushing OLB and you do need 1. We add a edge rusher on the other side and our LB core would have a shot at being top 5 in the NFL.

The franchise has done a good job of retaining talent lately. Staley/Willis/VD/A.Lee recently got new contracts. Just last off season the team re-signed Spikes and tagged Franklin (and did the right thing by not shelling out tons of $$ b4 he earned it 2 years in a row)

York believes the franchise is close the GM and HC will believe that 2 or they wouldn't come aboard IMO. This offseason I believe the 9ers get it right and bring back Lawson/Franklin/Baas/Spikes, re-structure w/Clements and extend players like Gore (1 year left should get 3-4 year deal) Morgan/D.Walker/R.McDonald along with bringing in a QB or 2 (vet + rookie) and a CB or 2.

We won't get it all we will miss a S/edge pass rusher or something just for everyone to complain but I believe fully that this team is close. We need a good GM and HC to get us the final pieces (namely QB) and coach this team where it deserves to go.

If Lawson is willing to consider staying here, it would be a mistake to allow him to leave. That would leave a lot of spots to be filled with untested players, as your camp roster indicates.

Lawson has been a good player for the team. The fact he was drafted to fill a role he is not suited to fill should not deter his re-signing. If they had someone on the opposite side that could rush the passer, Lawson could continue to be a solid starter.

All this will be up to the new HC but Manny would best be used in a hybrid 3-4 that allows him to be a 4th DL or drop into coverage. Let's see...are their any coaches under consideration that use that system on occasion? hmmmmm
