I don´t know if I´m correct, but as far as I know the most interesting free agents for the CB and S position are:
CB:
Champ Bailey- Broncos (for one or two years)
Antonio Cromartie- Jets
Jonathan Joseph- Bengals
S:
Dashon Goldson- 49ers (just if cheap)
Eric Weddle- Chargers
Darren Sharper- Saints
What do you think are our chances to get a big name?! I would really like to see Jonathan Joseph in red and gold!!!!

I really like Josephs. Do you think the Chargers will let Weddle get away?

Joseph is a RFA. We have no chance if the Bengals tender him.
Champ, Lito Sheppard, Ronde Barber, Fabian Washington, and Carlos Rogers are UFA's.

No, the new CBA should put FA back at 4 years, making Joseph an UFA.

Would love to get Joseph and pair him with Spencer. Hopefully we can dump Nate somewhere, he hasn't been playing well at all these past few seasons imo.

Lito played well when he wasn't injured. i'd take a look at him, most definitely.
i remember that's who the Niners targeted in the 2002 draft but the Eagles moved up one spot ahead of us and stole him. we ended up having to draft Mike Rumph instead that year.

Champ - should have a few good years left.
Lito - seems the injuries have really slowed him down.
Barber - Just old
Washington - Very inconsistent No mare than a nickel corner
Rodgers - See above
not a great bunch of guys

What about R. Marshall kid from Carolina? He was looking pretty good until this season, A change in team could help out.

I'm not a big fan of Mikell. I use to live in PA and have seen MANY Eagles games and I think he is a product of that aggressive defense just like Michael Lewis was
. Mikell actually plays SS in their system and we don't need a SS since we just drafted Taylor Mays.
Mikell is also not too much of a playmaker as he has started for essentially 4 years and only has 9 INT's 4 Forced Fumbles and 4 sacks in a VERY AGGRESSIVE defense. That is an average of 2 INT's 1 FF, and 1 sack per year
NO THANK YOU
AND he will be 31 at the start of next season and his body has taken a pretty good pounding on the Eagles defense. PASS

I think Marshall is the guy we should target. Tough, physical and a playmaker in the secondary...he should be our priority UFA.

I agree. If not Marshall, then HOPE the Bengals don't tender Joseph and go after him. Either one will be a HUGE upgrade and will allow us to go with a different option in those first 2 rounds of the draft (QB/Pass rusher or QB/Playmaking WR or Playmaking WR/QB ect ect)
