What upside? He couldnt beat out Kyle Boller/Charlie Frye/Bruce Gradkowski/Jason Campbell. He threw for a ton of yards in a gimmick system. Timmy Chang, lets sign him too.

He couldn't beat out Boller because he came in in the middle of TC and hardly had any snaps in Preseason. And when he did get into the game it was the last 4 minutes and handing the ball off. Give him a full off-season with the same reps and no doubt I bet he'll beat out Boller. Boller is garbage btw, Brennan is a much better passer than he is, no bias included.

This! I am biased and would love to see Colt on the Niners, but at this point in the season with all the potential off season changes, uh uh, not now. I agree he would be better than Carr assuming he knew coach Johnson's plays.
