Nothing like Darren Sharper ($1,000,000 / 1 Year) and Cedric Benson ($7,000,000 / 2 Years) last year, right?
And Garrison Hearst didn't sign a contract for $200,000 in 1997, only to rush for over 1,000 yards in just thirteen games.
Nope, none of that (and countless other signings) happened.

Sure looks good on paper. You know how the Raiders are though...

Groves is so good that a team desperate for more pass rush dumped him for a 5th rounder after two seasons after trading up in the 2nd round to get him.

Groves should have never played in a 4-3 base D at the NFL level, period. It was idiotic to think he could succeed at that position given his intangibles and strengths.

Aren't they playing a 4-3 this year. I read in an article somewhere where Mclain was talking about adjusting to a 4-3 defense.

I think they are, and I think he'll still be out of position at that spot.

Maybe now they'll get 3rd place in they're division.....MAYBE.
They will finish 2nd in that div.
KC will be last because they are the least talented.
Denver will be 3rd cause they arent any good and they lost marshall. They lost 6 straight games last year i think. Good teams dont do that.
Oakland 2nd
SD 1st
Neither Oakland or Denver are good teams! But notwithstanding this signing I have great confidence in the Raiders ability to suck. They'll only get of the bottom because of KC which is a damn lucky break for them

Very good move for Oakland, though I'm still wondering how the D-Line is going to hold up for the entire season due to their age. Nonetheless, good pickup.

If Tom Cable's still the head coach they are going to suck.
