Peppers and Taylor . . . that's a good day.
I think Martz will make good use of Taylor.

The Bears are approaching FA like they're going to concentrate on their running game, but they've got Martz at the helm. They are going to be a disaster next season. Cutler and Martz is a match made in hell. Martz will force Jay to sling the ball all over the field, without an Oline to protect him. That's scary because if there's a single QB in the league that throws up prayers under pressure, it's Jay. Cutler has a cannon for an arm, but he makes poor decisions under pressure.
We thought O'Sullivan was a turnover machine under Martz, I think Cutler is going to continue that trend. This should be Martz's last coaching gig in the NFL.

WOW.
Anyone else think $3 million/year for a BACKUP RB is a bit much?
Besides the fact that Taylor will probably be making significantly more that Forte this year.
Again...WOW.

How do you figure? manamanelundajfhdnvj is being brought in to block for the passing game as an extra linemen, taylor isnt gonna be a successful runner he is being brought there because of his pass catching abilities

Manananlua is basically another OT. He's not a receiving threat at all. Greg Olson is one of the better receiving TEs in the league, but he's ineffective as a run blocker. With how pitiful their rushing attack was last season, particularly in short-yardage situtations, it seem to me that their trying to improve their run blocking. Manananalua probably won't see the field on obvious passing downs.
Chester Taylor isn't solely a receiver either. He's a balanced RB, who is basically a better version of Forte. He was brought in for competition and depth. Taylor will probably beat out Forte for the starting spot.

Im seeing these moves completely different than you, because i dont see this as them trying to improve their run game at all.
So i guess we will agree to disagree

Cool. Either way, the Bears aren't going to make the playoffs next season. Their defense is falling apart and even Peppers can't salvage that. He'll help, but it won't be enough. Martz needs time to build an offense and he won't get it.
Bad for them, but I can't stand the Bears anyway.
