Panthers release Maake Kemoeatu

Per Adam Schefter, I remember when Kemoeatu was a highly sought after DT from the Ravens

Back up NT, why not?? Would love to see him or Jamal Williams signed, that way we could slide Franklin outside over Sopoaga.

An incentive based contract wouldn't be so bad since he is coming off a serious injury, let's see what he's got left, still a young guy
hmm I was high on him

If he came here for maybe a 1 year, $1.5 million dollar contract I wouldn't mind, but hes pretty injury prone.
idk... achilles is usually a 2 year injury and for a big DL,
i dont really see him just "bouncing back"
rather not see him waste a roster spot

What im hearing is.. is if the 49ers attempt to pursue him, it may affect Aubrayo's Mindset and may dislike the move. I wouldn't see him coming to the 49ers because Ma'Ake is interested in 3-5 mill a season

Doubt he'll get 3-5 mil a season after coming off a serious injury like that. IMO, I think he's have to settle for less and prove himself in 2010 and sign a 1 year contract, than hope for the big bucks in 2011.

Yeah. Well after he is cleared and passed on all his injury questions/problems he will get that amount! I personally think he wont be ready to play until november december..but I read previously that he is still working out and believes he is a TOP DT(Meaning possibly wanting a good contract.) Will he get a contract....time will tell! Will he ever play again?? Time will tell.
