Domenik Hixson is a restricted FA, but i dont think he would have a high price tag, so i think he is an option

Yeah, Hixson is an RFA, requiring a 2nd-round draft pick as compensation, which make him undesirable.
Here are Hixson's comparables with the Giants, just for the heck of it:
17 PR at 15.1 yards per, 1 TD, 17 FC, 0 fumbles.

Who have I missed?
(Tramon Williams of GB is solid, but he's an ERFA, not a UFA).
Sproles is a restricted free agent and was tendered at the highest level.
The best options are available through the draft.

Yeah, Sproles was not released by SD, but was covered as an RFA.
Looks like Burleson is the only real UFA PR on the open market. Maybe a Burleson signing and a Brandon Jones cut woud be an upgrade?
I just can't believe that McCloughan/Singletary want to give the PR job, which is highly prone to critical turnovers, to a rookie. But unless the club trades a 3rd or 4th rounder for an established guy, there doesn't look to be much veteran PR talent out there.

It's day one of free agency and your top two guys are off the market. Not going to happen until the draft.

Remember that this thread is all about available veteran PUNT returners.
KICK returners are a dime a dozen. This club needs a reliable PUNT returner who can field the ball cleanly, use good judgment regarding field positioin, and be quick enough to make the first guy miss without a blocker. These are all skills that are unique to a PUNT returner.
