Can someone post details about his contract? I'm too lazy to look it up
all he has to do is be willing to restructure which i'm sure he'll gladly do since he's probably sick of losing.
i doubt it will make much of a difference. he's still the best cornerback in the league or is at least 1A, sharing the title with Revis. not sure if he will want to cut down on the dollars to much
Revis >>> Asomugha
No way, Revis is hyped to the max playing in NY and for a playoff team. If Asomugha played for the Jets he'd be just as known.
Dude, are you serious right now? In 2008, Nnamdi Asomugha was considered the best cover CB in the game and became the highest paid DB in NFL history after that season. In 2006 and 2007 he was steadily making a name for himself and establishing his position at the top of the ladder. Most sports analysts had him ranked as the best in the league. People know who Nnamdi Asomugha is. He is just as "known" as any DB in the league because of the hype he got a couple years ago and the huge contract the raiders gave him. It might seem like Revis is more well-known because he received his hype this past season and it's still fresh, but Nnamdi is a well-known player and his a lot of hype himself. They both deserve all the hype they get, in my opinion.
BUT, while Nnamdi continued to play very good football this past season, Revis took it to a new level and shut down everybody they put against him. The Jets don't even have to put a safety in coverage to support the guy. He just shuts people down by himself.
If this were the end of 2008 and Revis played the same way he did this year, I'd say it's a tie between the two, but Nnamdi's play in 2009 was not as good as it was in 2008 while Revis' play in 09 was just as good, if not better, that Nnamdi's 2008 season.
Nnamdi is very, very good, but I think he's reached his potential. Revis on the other hand still has room to grow and is already as good, or in my opinion, better, than Nnamdi.
