I apologize to 49oz2superbowl for being overly blunt. I could have been more tackful in making a point. As a person who once owned his own business, I am sensitive to the issue.
I know he meant well, and I appreciate his list. It is a teachable moment, however. Many of us are quick to criticize a player. But we should remember that he is one of very few who have the God-given talent and who have put in the hard work and dedication to make it on an NFL roster.
While we, .... Yes, just who are we? What have we achieved in comparison to that player? What moral authority do we have to stand in judgment of that player?
If we feel we have the right to condemn a player because he occasionally "takes a play off" or "laid down on the team" then probably we should be free of fault ourselves.
I hope you accept my apology 49oz2superbowl.

Minnesota is going to be willing to pay a 30 year old running back nearly $9 million to run for 300-400 yards a season? I can't see that happening.
I know they want to keep him around and are looking to make a deal but I really can't see them franchising him.

Nice apology. Not enough people are prepared to do that here.
On the subject of criticising players, you are going to take awayost of the fun of being a fan!!!! Whether it's drivers, players or whatever, we have to be able to scream abuse at them. Can you imagine sitting down and watching a game together, and I say:
"Damn that Keavan Barlow isn't any damn good. Mind you, he plays better than I would."
And you respond: "Kwaeme is about as much use as a doormat today! Although having said I don't think I could have handled that blitz!"
Being unreasonable is part of the fun of it!!!!

Chester Taylor is a bit older but he could start a for a few teams in the league, I could see the Pats or maybe Lions making a play for him. I say we dump Brandon Jones and add Mike Furrey, the guy can play & is also pretty solid on special teams. Derrick Burgess wouldn't be half bad either

There were plays where I could have slowed the defender down more than Kwame (before the QB inevitably got sacked). I specifically remember a play where Kwame lunged out to hit the DE and just missed him completely. The DE got to Smith before he planted his back foot on a 3 step drop. I played OT in high school and that is really hard to do.

No worries man, I accept the apology. I mainly just go on while I eat lunch at my desk. I understand your frustration from a business owner's perspective.

sounds like someone is jaded. Guess he never learned that forbidden fruit is too much of a temptation, and that by making using the net allowed, peopl get bored with it REALLY quick in an 8 hour span. Soon as they are bored of the net production goes up. They like their boss for being allowed to surf the net, and then are bored and needing something to do. All the sudden all kinds of special projects are going on.One of these days employers will realize, even in these economic times, that if they want thier business to flourish, it is in their best interest to keep their employee's happy. Making it ok to use the inernet is like leaving a bowl of candy out while raising kids. Eventually it's no big deal and your kids don't even ask for candy anymore.......

agreed... when I say under the radar I'm talking about players who aren't lighting up the free agency headlines... LT and Westbrook take that award (like Marvin Harrison did last year, despite not having much to offer)

So I was bored at work today and was looking through a full list of the 250+ current UFA's. Everyone knows that Julius Peppers and Karlos Dansby will be the bell cows of free agency, but here is a list of some of the lesser known/lesser talked about free agents that caught my eye... any players I may have missed feel free to add.
Any established PR on this list? Filling that need could likely be the Niners first FA signing.
