Only thing I remember bout this dude is a few years ago saying who in the world is this dude and why is Detroit paying him so much. He would probably be an upgrade over Evans for depth and maybe Ice but I'm not sure about that nor would I spend too much cash on this guy.

He was traded to the Seahawks last offseason in exchange for Julian Peterson. I may be wrong, but don't trades tend to void certain contracts?
