you are demanding (in the nicest possible way) the signing of something like 6 or 7 top free agents.
This is just not going to happen. We have loads of salary cap room but no team can afford that sort of shopping spree.
There is a reason why the team is remaking itself through the draft. It is the only long term solution. At the most I am guessing 2 big name FAs and a few older or more obscure types.

Do you have any understanding of Free Agency and the Salary Cap?

2 would be a reach i think, i would be happy if we just get 1 big name like a peppers type or mankins.

I think we'll get only one top tier FA and I hope it's Mankins. I can't remember where I read it [sorry] but it said something about Peppers to Dallas.

they got ware...... and its way too early to predict any team going after anyone, that would be tampering.

Free Agency is likely to be extremely slow without a CBA in place.
Absent a CBA any player with less than six accrued seasons (pretty much any player under 30) will be a restricted free agent. So if a given RFA's current team tenders a "qualifying offer" to a player we want, we'd have to burn draft picks to get him.
RFA's that would be UFA's with a CBA in place: Logan Mankins, Marcus McNeil, Deuce Lutui, Brandon Marshall, O.J. Atogwe, Elvis Dumervil, David Baas . . .
Without a CBA player movement will probably be minimal . . .

I like logan mankins and mcneal. But if you think those teams will let them go your crazy! We are going to have to build this team through the draft like walsh did or like jimmy johnson did with the cowgirls. speed, speed, speed. Speed kills. See desean jackson for example!

I think the one and only KEY to our success in 2010 is the offensive line. Whether that entails one or two new guys up there, I don't know.
I definitely don't think that we MUST sign Julius Peppers, and if we're giving up draft picks, I'm not sure he's in the top 3 guys I'd want us to get if we did.

alright unfortunately fellow niners we are back to the "what to do" off season discussion so this is what we need to do to "PATCH" up the weak spots on our team:
1.OFFENSIVE LINE-what do you expect our oline coach to do with the bums that we have except staley. OLINE FREE AGENTS
getting at least 3 of the top lineman will bring experience ,dept, and SKILLS to our line solving our biggest weakness
2.DEFENSIVE LINEMAN/PASS RUSHER-j.smith,soapoaga,franklin did a good job but we need at least 2 PASS RUSHERS that is proven in the league DEFENSIVE LINEMAN LIST
we MUST, i repeat MUST sign JULIUS PEPPERS i dont care how much you give him ,he is 30 and he is serious, there is others like Elvis Dumervil,Marcus Spears, and Richard Seymour if we can get peppers and one of those in my opinion we are on our way BYT we must resign a.franklin , just imagine , peppers/franklin/j.smith halleuyahhhh
3.CORNERS-shawntae Spencer was solid this season ,terrell brown needs to be more consistant ,dre bly NEEDS TO GO ASAP , i dont know whats going to happen with nate and walt but we need 1 corner as for the safeties d.goldston he played solid i luv that kid ,lewis great run safety but should not be on the field on passing downs at all , PLEASE get rid of ROMAN he is a piece of sSECONDARY LIST
now some longshots but a winner would be Carlos Rogers he has what yall niner faithfuls want which is SPEED to keep up with the roddy whites and d.jacksons besides rogers the list is filled with a bunch of at best solid corners but 2 of them can help bring depth and from what i see walt harris is a free agent so we really need 2-3 corners.
SAFETIES-we need someone to go well with goldston , i think we should take a shot at guys like Nick Collins,Antoine Bethea(can play both FS,SS)O.J. Atogwe(rams dont want a long term contract w/ him) and of course a longshot Darren Sharper , just one of these guys with would be solid , depends if Nate Clemens is moved to SS our secondary would improve dramatically .
and yea yea we have the draft but i want players that has DONE WORK in the NFL,IF ONLY IF the yorks cough up the cash (I KNOW BIGGG IF)this offseason getting these players would take the stress off us when it comes to the draft and our 2 1st round picks
Yeah, and I'd like to be 6'4" iwth a 10 in schlong, but that ain't happenin. You need to live in the real world, my friend. Nothing wrong with wishful thinking, but you write as if the above is actually possible. NOT! One, maybe two, if we're truly lucky.
