Haha which is why he is interested in us.

Agreed! People overhype the T.O. damage control! he did absolutely nothing wrong while on Buffalo, playing with 2-3 horrible QB's! so lets not exaggarate like espn on here please.

He will open up the offense too, defenses will not be able to double crabtree or vernon Davis and they cannot stack the line up front vs. Gore
personally i always liked owens so i would want him back..i think it would be cool to see him finish his career a niner

Yes^
I think there is more positive then negative if we were to sign him, and say he does become a problem, cut his ass.

Simple as that.

He simply just doesn't have the time anymore to be a locker room distraction, his career will end in two years, a half a season if hes a distraction.
I guess it might be alright after all. He would be another weapon for opposing defenses to watch out for. And he has done a good job of teaching young WRs he's been around. TO has always had a good work ethic... For the right price, I say do it.
bring him in !!! He would come in under Singletary and keep his f**ken mouth shut and come work and finish his career here where it started!! Im pretty he realizes he can still help a team and why not SF? Im sure working with Sing he would act right, and tutoring Crabs, Morgan, Hill and Davis would be a bonus! TO can still have 2 productive seasons and then he can retire..

1. Crabtree
2. Owens
TE Davis
3. Morgan
4. Hill
TE Walker
5. Ziegler

cut Bruce, Battle, Jones

Bruce is retired and Battle is hitting FA. I doubt Ziegler makes the team over Jones as well.
I'd have no issues with Owens coming back. He has had a rocky history but honestly the media blows it up into more then it should be.

I'd rather not spend money on Jones....

yes, surprisingly.
YES
Yes, as you can see on previous posts, I am in favor, I could not stand Owens when he left here, but that was years ago. Low Risk, and we could use an extra weapon on offense.
