Crossing my fingers, hoping Scotty Mac will gather some ammo and pull the trigger on Dwayne Bowe!!!

I say trade him for a 3rd with the promise of the rights to crabtree come march. if teams can trade for money then this should work too. if not, trade a second and swap 1st round picks (carolina's for Kansas city's) and get bowe to the bay. Morgan, bowe, jones, hill with VD and gore/coffee. I don't see how we lose on this. the money we're not paying crabtree goes to extending willis, vd, lawson and mccdonald. Under this potential scenario NOT signing crabtree works out perfect.
I'd love for us to get Bowe. When I worked the KC locker room he was totally cool. At least to me and what I observed. He's a baller on the field, but there really isn't any other threat on that offense, so he just gets doubled and taken out, most of the time.
ooooo man i would give up a 2nd rounder for him. YAC receiver (what we've been lacking since T.O.'s departure) who has great hands and also blocks very well. i had no clue he was even on the market, but we should really make a few calls and try to land him. it would basically be a trade, crabtree (draft pick) for bowe while i see crabtree going to a team like the cowboys, bears, or chargers

ESPN - Adam Schefter of ESPN believes that the Chiefs would gladly listen to offers for receiver Dwayne Bowe.

In a chat with readers, Schefter wrote: "... If a team out there made a good offer for Bowe, he would be gone tomorrow. Like I said, outside of [Matt] Cassel and [Tyson] Jackson, there's no Chief who can't be had for the right price. New regimes like their own players; this is not something new to Haley and Scott Pioli. This is a universal truth."

link ? date ?
i'd love to do it

too much man too much. If we offer the rights to Crabtree I would think they would have to give up picks. Several reasons. a) Bowe wasn't that highly thought of coming out of college b) he's been very good, not great in the NFL, and has justified his draft spot (late 1st) bust hasn't surpassed it (like Harrison, Bruce, etc), and c) it is now known that Haley isn't crazy about him. How do you ask for premium compensation for a guy you're trying to get rid of???
Bowe has got do be sick of losing with the chiefs. He'd love to be on an up and coming team like the niners.

Question tho, if he comes here, who would you have as our #1 and #2?

most definetely bowe as #1 and morgan as #2. bowe is an established #1 receiver and morgan is nothing but hype up to this point. dont get me wrong, he has talent and tons of potential but hasnt had the chance to prove anything yet

Crabtree hasn't played a single snap in the NFL, is coming off a year without playing, and wants a ton of money... and you think they'll give up a stud like Dwayne Bowe who gets over a 1000 yards receiving with the likes of Brodie Croyle and Tyler Thigpen throwing to him? Please.

It's not what you think of him, it's what the current regime thinks of him. And according to the sources, they don't think much of him at all

no, they definitely think highly of him. What sources do you speak of? Because I'm certainly aware of the reports that in preseason he was in Haley's doghouse, but he's out now and practicing with the 1st team and playing in games. I've read what there is to read about him after drafting him in fantasy

I would rather do limas sweed for a later round pick. We do not need to trade any early(1st or 2nd) picks for next years draft.
Sweed was deactivated for today's game. It's just not working in pittsburg. The guy is a big redzone threat. Hill for sweed?
