so latest is that the vikings locker room is divided and many of the players are saying that tavaris gives them the best chance to win.....

I have a feeling Scotty Mac has watched every bit of film he can find of T-Jack and Vick. The front office is not happy with the QB's we have, Singletary has said as much, Raye has said as much... Someone has to step up this year or we know where those #1's next year are going. There just isn't anything we can do to improve right now.

This is where the ineptitude part of things as far as GM is concerned should be mentioned. Gee, we'll keep a complete bust like Alex Smith on this team for four years ,when he obviously is not an NFL caliber QB. Why? To save face only folks.
They needed to address this situation prior and have not. Sure, let's hope they get it right with the handling of two #1's next year with the QB position.

Ok so I am curious. All of the people that just flat out say NO to this...what did you think when the Niners picked up say...Steve Young? Was that just a DUMB IDEA since we already had Montana, and Young was horrible with the Bucs?

Bill Walsh is in a league of his own, I like Scotty, but he will never compare to Walsh in his prime.

In that situation you had a great quarterback to mentor the younger one. Who would you have mentor Jackson? We already have a very questionable quarterback situation to put it mildly and now throw another wrench into it? Not a good idea in my mind.
