9ers arent looking for a new starting QB.. He is just to back up Kap. Vince is a bigger threat in read-option than Colt is.

It's also VERY telling that w/32 teams he isn't even being considered. Otherwise a "needy" team would have swooped him up - he sucks!

Many thought quarterback Vince Young had done enough to make the Green Bay Packers as the backup to Aaron Rodgers. But Young was released Saturday after he joined the Packers late into training camp.

Packers general manager Ted Thompson shoulders part of the blame for Young not making the team, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

"Frankly, it wasn't fair to Vince," Thompson said. "We threw a lot at Vince. A lot on his plate. He was a good teammate. The fault is probably mine. I should have brought him in sooner. The fault is mine."
