this guy went undrafted......it'd be nice to have him sit on the bench and learn an offense

Put him on the practice squad and let him sit and learn. The kid knows how to score and win games, that's gotta count for something.

actually he's not even signed .....its a 3 day try out with the browns
Except that the Browns invited Harrell to rookie minicamp on a three-day tryout. He wasn't offered a contract, so nothing is guaranteed beyond Sunday.

Don't we have Nate Davis to do that?

If we didn't have Nate Davis I'd jump at the chance to sign Graham, but already have two spread QBs on the roster, doubt we need another.
If we go to a pass first offense, Harrell would be the best. But he'd be waste of space as it is.

You must be insane if he is a waste of space? We have no QB for the future why not bring him in for training camp for competition. He does know Crabtree very well and might help out in that aspect as well. Nate Davis won't even see the field this year and is not guaranteed a spot in the roster. I would consider Harrell in a heartbeat.

Texas Tech gets a bad rap because they were one of the first big-time schools to stick with the spread. So Bradford and McCoy will won't get the system tag even though they run copy-cat offenses, and they'll get drafted.
That said, I think Bradford is a great QB, McCoy is overrated though.

I disagree with you there. McCoy did more with less....bradford is in a good system with great core of players around him.

i said this all along to my friends. One of the hardest parts with a new QB in a system is getting the WR and QB on the same page timing wise. I am all for bringing harrell into camp, let him fight for a 3rd or 4th QB slot. He has proved in college that him and Crabtree already have the timing down. I know he really cant air it out, but he seemed to do enough to get Tech a nice run.

The whole 'McCoy had less around him' is one of the biggest misconceptions about the big12.
Texas recruits better players than anyone in the big12 and anyone short of USC and a couple teams in the SEC.
McCoy has BETTER talent around him than OU and much better than everyone else in the big12.
Almost every starter on UT's team on offense is a 4 or 5 star recruit.
If Texas' players don't look as good, then it is because of subpar coaching, because they have no excuse considering their superior talent.
