Not understanding the waiver wire ...... how is there bidding ?

You get 100 FAAB(free agent acquisition budget)

Highest bid wins. Once you use your $100 you can no longer bid on players on the WW and have to hope they hit FA to pick up for free

So $100 for the year .....

Next waiver wire will have to look for the bid option .

Waiver wire period is anytime a player is dropped and/or Wednesday morning.

For instance Joe Burrow was dropped and you can claim him by bidding. Wont be processed until Saturday morning though.

After you hit the claim it will ask you to pick a player to drop. Then ask fir an amount to bid on.

And yes $100 for the entire year
I was losing waivers like I lost to john on week 1

That would've been nice to know at the start

A pass catching RB on Philip Rivers team that saw 8 targets week 1

17 targets total for the 3 RBs

He is still the backup to Taylor. Not saying he wont be valuable but that bid basically takes Mac out of the running for any top waiver play for the rest of the season.

Some crazy bids in my opinion:
Washington D for $34. Could have gotten them for $1
Myles Gaskin for $25 Could have gotten for $1
Teddy Bridgewater for $11 and then cut for Arizona D LOL

The last 2 were my moves. I had to bid Gaskins that high because i put in for Hines($79) and had 2 openings. I truly thought 79 would get Hines and didn't want he and Gaskins. So bid high on Gaskins to not allow me to have both he and Hines.

As for the $11 wasted on Teddy.... that's water under the bridge.

But back to the main topic.... usually between weeks 1 and 2 are the only real main WW pushes anyway.

Yes you can find guys later on but they're almost always cheap

I definitely when I saw that $80 bid, if he turns out to be Austin Ekeler then it might be worth it but damn that's a steep price.

I honestly dont think ive spent $80 total in the 3 years ive been in this league.

While $80 is a big chunk. Not only do i believe it to be worth it. I also dont think he'll miss it

Not unless the commish can manually adjust FAAB

Maybe something to vote on for next year if it's even possible
