There isn't really a solution to this. It will also be almost impossible to trade players drafted in the first couple rounds. I can't trade my 1st round pick in 2012 draft and keep Braun. Then, my only option is to either let Braun go, or to trade him to another guy who has a 1st round in the draft. THEN - that manager has to overpay for Braun - because once he trades for Braun, his 1st round pick is forfeited - and will have to trade me a pick other than the 1st rounder.

I don't even know if I make any sense.

Makes sense.

The benefit to this system though is that it makes it really expensive to keep guys you drafted in high rounds.

Which may allow for other owners to get their hands on a guy like Bruan or Hanley in future years instead of one owner just hoarding them for several consecutive years.

Yea, I don't mind this. It makes drafting in the later rounds very important or making quality pick-ups from the FA. Braun and Batista will stay with me though for years. They are probably the top two hitters in fantasy baseball. I'm hoarding them.

I like it. Quentin and Yunel Escobar as only late round picks is nice. One of the reasons I made the Ethier Jurjens for Quentin and Escobar swap. Plus by drafting Adrian Gonzalez in the second round I still have my first rounder next year.

Carpenter on my bench

I was wondering about that. Teams that have no shot at the playoffs still need to make sure they have their best players in every game and try to win. I'm sure it was an oversight.

It was, trust me. I'm not like that. I've been very busy lately.
