The San Francisco 49ers have signed defensive lineman Akeem Spence to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team has placed defensive lineman Maurice Hurst on the injured reserve list. He sustained a torn biceps injury during practice last week and will undergo surgery.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.

The drama is finally over. The San Francisco 49ers are signing wide receiver Deebo Samuel to a three-year, $71.55 million contract extension, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal reportedly includes $58.1 million in guaranteed money and will keep him with the team through the 2025 season.
