49ers' Christian McCaffrey added to NFC Pro Bowl roster
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey's Pro Bowl snub didn't go unnoticed by fans. His name was a rather shocking omission from the initial NFC roster.
The NFL has corrected that mistake. According to ESPN's Field Yates, McCaffrey has been named to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders.

49ers don't expect Jimmy Garoppolo to be active vs. Eagles; Deebo Samuel added to injury list
It was unlikely that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suited up on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, serving as rookie Brock Purdy's backup in the NFC Championship Game. Still, there was a slight chance the injured veteran could be healthy enough to be active. The team awaited the results of an X-ray on Tuesday to see how much Garoppolo's broken foot has recovered.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters on Wednesday and shared that the 49ers got the X-ray results.
"I don't expect to have him this week," Shanahan revealed.
Garoppolo sustained his injury on December 4. A return for the Super Bowl remains a possibility.

49ers' John Lynch comments on Nick Bosa, Brandon Aiyuk contract extensions
Defensive end Nick Bosa is signed through the 2023 season. However, the San Francisco 49ers would like to start working on a contract extension for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner. We remember what happened when the team waited on Deebo Samuel's deal last offseason. The wide receiver market exploded, and the cost of locking up Samuel went up.
On Tuesday, Bosa admitted that becoming the NFL's highest-paid defender isn't a priority. Of course, the negotiations are up to his agent and the 49ers. The talented pass rusher wants to remain with the 49ers, the team that made him the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2019.

The 49ers' 2022 Season Has Officially Been Ruled 'Out' - SF 7, Philadelphia 31
It wasn't supposed to end like this. But in the end, what did you expect? This is who the 49ers are.
Not a bad team, no. God, no. If that's what you think after watching an NFFCG collapse, I humbly request you consider this game tomorrow. A week from now. With a bit of distance, tracing the arc of the whole season.
That still doesn't change the fact that this game was ugly. It was horrific. No, it was worse - a farce. This was Kyle Shanahan trying to bluff an invading army with a tea party out in the open. There's no blame to be laid at his feet here. Maybe against another army, a team less consistently aggressive and outside of its home turf. It's just not a strategy that works against Nick Sirianni's Eagles. Playoff football is a game of
