Mike Sando of thenewstribune.com says that while a deal with the Seattle Seahawks for WR Darrell Jackson is not yet complete, San Francisco is likely the leading candidate to get the deal done. This is due to the fact that Jackson will travel to San Francisco on Saturday to take a physical with the team. Jackson was in Tampa on Friday.
He states that another team could still contact the Seahawks and make a better offer for Jackson. He also says that former Seattle quarterback Trent Dilfer, now with the 49ers, has been one of Jackson's strongest supporters.
In 2006, Jackson had 63 catches for 956 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also had three 1000+ yard seasons in his seven years with Seattle.
