Anquan Boldin, Von Miller, and his jacket introduce performance during Grammys

Feb 15, 2016 at 11:25 PM--

San Francisco 49ers WR Anquan Boldin and Denver Broncos LB Von Miller introduced a performance by Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt at the Grammys tonight, but it was Miller's jacket that left social media talking.

Boldin was there because he was the recipient of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Miller was the MVP of Super Bowl 50, a game played on February 7 at Levi's Stadium.

What was that jacket made of anyways? It looked bedazzled. Thank goodness Boldin wasn't blinded.

And now now back to your regularly scheduled 49ers news.

'Third and Jauan': 49ers WR Jennings steps up again in the clutch during win over Saints

By Kirk Larrabee
Nov 27

49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings has had a quieter year statistically than some may have expected, considering where he was at the end of the 2021 season. But just as he did in 2021, Jennings stepped up in the clutch Sunday, giving the 49ers multiple huge plays while helping them secure a 13-0 win over the New Orleans Saints. After catching 16 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns over the final five games of the 2021 regular season, Jennings entered this weekend with 30 catches for 220 yards and zero touchdowns for 2022. But on Sunday he caught six passes for 49 yards while hauling in the game's only touchdown. Jennings also made a key third down catch on the game's final drive that helped run out the clock and seal the win. Jennings' clutch performance on

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert doesn't appreciate how 49ers reacted to his injury

By David Bonilla
Nov 27

Raheem Mostert is the Miami Dolphins' leading rusher this season, and the running back may have some beef with his former team when he faces the San Francisco 49ers next weekend. Mostert appeared in just nine games during his last two seasons with the 49ers. He played in just one game last season before opting to undergo season-ending knee surgery. In the last year of his deal, it was a decision he felt was best for his NFL future. Apparently, the Niners weren't pleased with the decision. "Mostert weighed all pros and all cons when he decided to sit out the season," wrote Tyler Dunne of Go Long. "He knew how much he was risking - the decision absolutely pissed the 49ers off - but he also knew how hard he would work." The 49ers initially

With Elijah Mitchell out, 49ers RB Jordan Mason will get his chance to shine

By Rohan Chakravarthi
Nov 28

Since the beginning of the offseason, San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason has made the most of his opportunities, earning praise for his hard-nosed, physical running style that embodied an NFL player. However, due to a variety of circumstances, Mason has yet to see significant NFL action. After Elijah Mitchell suffered a sprained MCL in Week 1, Mason could've seen opportunities behind Jeff Wilson in San Francisco's running back rotation, given his performance in the offseason and style of play. But, the 49ers opted for a different direction, utilizing Wilson as a bell-cow back, significantly decreasing the team's efficiency on the ground, before involving veteran Tevin Coleman, who had a short stint on the active

49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo regarding his knee: "Feels great, baby"

By David Bonilla
Dec 1

When Jimmy Garoppolo arrived to work on Monday, his knee was "pretty sore." The San Francisco 49ers quarterback took a painful hit from New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Malcolm Roach a day earlier, which he felt might have crossed the line. Garoppolo was a full practice participant on Wednesday and Thursday. He didn't even need a brace on his leg. The quarterback spoke with reporters for the first time this week after Thursday's practice and was asked how his knee felt four days after the hit. "Feels great," Garoppolo responded. "Feels great,
