49ers hire Jeff Hafley as their defensive backs coach

According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, the San Francisco 49ers have hired former Cleveland Browns secondary coach Jeff Hafley as their defensive backs coach.


Hafley coached two seasons in Cleveland. Prior to that, he coached the same position for two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The San Francisco 49ers called on Jeff Wilson Jr. late in the first quarter, and the running back delivered. Wilson dashed through the Los Angeles Rams defense, going untouched on his way to the end zone for the 32-yard touchdown.
