49ers checking NaVorro Bowman’s head

Dec 6, 2015 at 11:14 AM--

San Francisco 49ers DE Quinton Dial crashed into teammate LB NaVorro Bowman in the second quarter against the Bears in Chicago. He was able to get off the field and was being checked on the sideline by the team's staff.

It is possible that there is some concern that he suffered a concussion, but the team's expert in that area was likely in the locker room checking on TE Vance McDonald for the same thing.

Bowman was later taken into the locker room.

Update:

It has been confirmed by Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area that Bowman's head is being checked and evaluated for a possible concussion. He is questionable to return against the Bears.

Gerald Hodges and Nick Bellore have replaced Bowman and Michael Wilhoite, who left the game earlier.

Lynch later mentioned that the team continued to have dialogue surrounding Garoppolo during the NFL Draft, but it appeared teams were hoping to secure his services at a discounted price. Lynch also mentioned that teams typically don't rush out to trade for a player following surgery until they know they've made a full recovery. To me, it almost felt like

With the free-agency frenzy long gone and the NFL Draft behind us, NFL teams will move toward tweaking their rosters in preparation for the 2022 season. It's worth noting that there are still some well-known free agents awaiting offers—names like Jadeveon Clowney and Odell Beckham Jr. Veteran center J.C. Tretter might make sense for the San Francisco 49ers. The team is uncertain about the future of Alex Mack. General manager John Lynch is sounding less confident about the possibility of his starting center returning for his 14th NFL season. However, it's not Tretter that Pro Football Focus analyst Ben Linsey believes would be a good signing by the 49ers. Instead,
