Vance McDonald injured against Steelers

San Francisco 49ers TE Vance McDonald was injured during a punt return in the second quarter of the team's matchup with the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Following the play, the medical staff was looking at his right knee after he walked off the field on his own.

The Steelers, who are passing with ease against the 49ers defense, scored on the next play to take a 22-3 lead.

McDonald is questionable to return to the game.

The NFL announced that Thursday's game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is being moved to Sunday due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. "This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts," the NFL said via a statement. 49ers place JaMycal Hasty, Johnathan Cyprien, Jared Mayden on injured reserve

The San Francisco 49ers have officially placed running back JaMycal Hasty and safety Johnathan Cyprien on injured reserve. Hasty suffered a broken collarbone during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 27-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Hasty will have surgery and is done for the season. Cyprien suffered a hamstring injury. San Francisco signed Hasty as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor in April.
