By Sasha D. Robinson

During the week of the NFC Championship Game rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, players and fans of both teams talked a lot of trash about the upcoming game. Many fans of the 49ers believed if quarterback Brock Purdy did not get hurt in last season's playoff meeting, the Niners would have beaten the Eagles, earning a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs. Arik Armstead has yet to hit the practice field this week as he deals with foot and knee issues. On Wednesday, Shanahan said he would be surprised to see his veteran defensive tackle on the field this weekend. A day later, nothing has changed.
