Harris added to Pro Bowl roster

Jan 25, 2007 at 3:41 PM--

Matt Maiocco of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat is reporting Niners CB Walt Harris has been officially added to the NFC Pro Bowl team, replacing injured Eagles CB Lito Sheppard, who sustained a dislocated elbow in the Eagles' wild-card playoff game.

This will be Harris' first trip to the Pro Bowl, and obviously much-deserved. Earlier this month he was chosen to the All-NFC team, as selected by the Pro Football Writers of America and Pro Football Weekly.

Harris tied for the NFC lead with eight interceptions. He also broke up 17 passes, forced five fumbles and recovered two fumbles.

He was NFC defensive player of the month for November, and was NFC defensive player of the week for his play in the final game of the season against the Broncos.

The injury-plagued cornerback has endured mostly challenging years since entering the NFL in 2014. It sounds like his hard work is finally paying off. Verrett joined 95.7 The Game on Wednesday and was asked if he feels like he is finally back at that Pro Bowl level now that he is at his healthiest since that 2015 season. "Yeah, absolutely," Verrett responded on the Damon, Ratto & Kolsky show. "I just think, as the weeks go on, I think my game

As the trade deadline approached last year, the San Francisco 49ers were engaged in trade talks with the Denver Broncos to acquire wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. The Niners saw him as a player who could help them win a championship, and the team nearly did that but fell just short in Super Bowl LIV. Could general manager John Lynch and the 49ers make a similar move this season? This year's trade deadline is on November 3. "John and his group, they're always looking into all possibilities on that stuff," head coach Kyle Shanahan shared with reporters on Monday. "I mean, they're watching film on the whole league day in and day out. And they're always on the phone and stuff, whether it's John or other guys, some of the scouts, or whoever. They're always having a
