Harris added to Pro Bowl roster

Matt Maiocco of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat is reporting Niners CB Walt Harris has been officially added to the NFC Pro Bowl team, replacing injured Eagles CB Lito Sheppard, who sustained a dislocated elbow in the Eagles' wild-card playoff game.

This will be Harris' first trip to the Pro Bowl, and obviously much-deserved. Earlier this month he was chosen to the All-NFC team, as selected by the Pro Football Writers of America and Pro Football Weekly.

Harris tied for the NFC lead with eight interceptions. He also broke up 17 passes, forced five fumbles and recovered two fumbles.

He was NFC defensive player of the month for November, and was NFC defensive player of the week for his play in the final game of the season against the Broncos.

Yes, the 49ers are 4-6 and may not be able to stack enough wins down the stretch to sneak into the playoffs, but some names are deserving. The first name that comes to mind is probably star linebacker Fred Warner, who leads the team in tackles. Green Bay Packers quarterback
