According to San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula, the plan right now is to let quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the rest of the starters play about a quarter when face the Houston Texans on Saturday at 5 PM Pacific. The game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Of course, that estimate could be changed depending on how practices this week go. The 49ers have practices scheduled for later today, tomorrow, and Thursday.
He also stated that linebacker NaVorro Bowman, who is returning from a devastating knee injury, would play. "We're taking the approach that Bow is back. We're just moving forward," said Tomsula.
Jim Tomsula said the conversation starts with the starters going a quarter. That could be tweaked depending how the week goes.
