49ers' Brock Purdy completes tosses to George Kittle at Levi's Stadium...during Luke Combs concert

San Francisco 49ers fans are accustomed to seeing QB Brock Purdy complete passes to tight end George Kittle. On Saturday night, the duo hooked up a few more times at Levi's Stadium. But it was on a stage rather than on the field. Country music star, Luke Combs, was in concert at Levi's Stadium, when part of the way through his show, he called Purdy and Kittle on stage to join him. After downing a beer with Combs, Kittle then motioned for Purdy to throw him another. Of course, his quarterback obliged. In the video, it appears that Combs raised his hand for another, but Purdy looked him off, choosing to go to his star tight end

Watch: 49ers hit the practice field during OTAs

The San Francisco 49ers kicked off organized team activities (OTAs) this week. The media received their first glimpse of practice today and were allowed to record videos from the Tuesday session until team drills started. Wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings were two of the noticeable absentees. Aiyuk is awaiting a contract extension from the 49ers, while Jennings has yet to sign his $4.89 million restricted free-agent tender. 49ers open as early favorites in Week 1 game vs. Jets

This morning, ESPN announced that the San Francisco 49ers would kick off their 2024 regular season with a Monday Night Football showdown against the New York Jets at Levi's Stadium. Several storylines add intrigue to this matchup, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers' quest to defeat the team that has bested him in all four postseason meetings and Jets head coach Robert Saleh facing his former boss, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. Early betting odds from DraftKings Sportsbook favor the 49ers significantly, with a 5.5-point spread over the Jets, who will journey to Levi's Stadium for the September 9 clash. 49ers expected to play 2 games on Monday Night Football during 2024 season

It's already confirmed that the San Francisco 49ers will kick off their 2024 regular season at home against the New York Jets on "Monday Night Football." However, that Week 1 matchup won't be the only time head coach Kyle Shanahan's team takes the spotlight on Monday night. Joe Buck disclosed on "Good Morning America" that ESPN and ABC have scheduled a second matchup featuring the Niners.
