Arik Armstead will wear No. 69

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, San Francisco 49ers first round selections, defensive lineman Arik Armstead, has chosen or been given a jersey number. That number is 69, which he will wear beginning tomorrow when the team hits the practice field.

He had previously been listed on the team roster as No. 94, which is the former number of retired defensive lineman Justin Smith.

Armstead wore No. 9 in college while at Oregon.

San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Arik Armstead and his teammates were eager to get back to work after an unusual offseason filled with virtual meetings and training on their own. The goal has remained the same since February: Return to the Super Bowl and, this time, emerge as champions.
