Jerry Rice explains why he would still take Joe Montana over Tom Brady
By David Bonilla
Jan 18, 2021
The debate continues. Joe Montana or Tom Brady? While many have declared Brady the winner with his six Super Bowl rings and four Super Bowl MVPs, some are still making a strong case for Montana.
You won't have to work too hard to pitch Montana to most San Francisco 49ers fans or anyone who grew up watching the quarterback frustrate opposing defenses while playing in an era that didn't do as much to protect players at his position.
Brady will once again be playing in a conference championship game for the right to appear in yet another Super Bowl. He continues to add to his already
49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo Should Take a Page from Tom Brady
By Brian Renick

Last offseason, the San Francisco 49ers had a brief flirtation with Tom Brady. The Bay Area native was a free agent for the first time in his career, but the 49ers had just come off a Super Bowl run with Brady's former heir apparent Jimmy Garoppolo under center, so the flirtation was brief. Typically, where there's smoke, there's fire. The 49ers absolutely must pursue all avenues available to them to bring Watson to Santa Clara. He would instantly transform this 49ers squad into a perennial Super Bowl contender.
Watson finished the 2020 season as the second-highest rated passer in the league behind likely MVP Aaron Rodgers. He accomplished this on a team that was relatively bereft of talent on the offensive side of the ball, and was mired in a terrible coaching situation (Bill O'Brien was fired after four straight losses to start the season).
Despite the dysfunction, Watson still led the
