According to the NFL transaction wire, the San Francisco 49ers have placed practice squad defensive tackle Darrion Daniels on injured reserve. He suffered an injury on Wednesday. "He hurt himself dancing during warmups at practice Wednesday," wrote David Lombardi of The Athletic. The Niners signed defensive end Chris Slayton, 25, to take Daniels' spot on the practice squad. The New York Giants made Slayton (6-4, 307) a seventh-round selection out of Syracuse in 2019. He also spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers. The San Francisco 49ers have made the following roster moves ahead of tonight's Week 10 home game against the Los Angeles Rams. WR Mohamed Sanu and S Tavon Wilson have been placed on injured reserve S Tony Jefferson has been activated from the practice squad The 49ers already ruled Sanu and Wilson out for Week 10. Sanu is dealing with a knee injury while Wilson is dealing with a foot injury. Safety Jimmie Ward (quadricep) was listed as "questionable" for tonight's game. The San Francisco 49ers find themselves backed up against the wall in a Monday night showdown with their divisional rival Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers are currently third in the NFC West with a 3-5 record. On the season, they are 0-4 at home and have been outscored 185-202 in their eight games. According to FiveThirtyEight.com the 49ers currently have an 18% chance of making the playoffs. That percentage jumps to 32% with a win, but plummets to 8% with a loss. Regardless of which playoff predictor you look at, it's safe to say this is the most important game of the 2021 season and has a huge impact on the 49ers' playoff hopes. The 49ers will have their hands full on both sides
